• Re: Beolab 5 - Different Mk?
Hi Are there more than one version of the Beolab 5? If so, what are the differences between the versions? Is it possible to se what version by looking at the serial number? Best regards Ola
I wondered about this also. Since there is no MKII, has there been software updates?

  • Re: Any questions for the new CEO ?

I just saw Peter's comments. I agree there should be a high quality Bang & Olufsen DAC available that is ML and Beonet enabled. That would solve a lot of problems on my system.
OMG, unless you are very wealthy, I certainly would not call the BS8 cheap!!! Outside of home cinema is there really a market for audio? Technics would certainly say not!
Inexpensive is probably a better word to describe the Beosound 8 in the B&O range. Yes there is a market for audio. In this forum there

  • Re: Beovision 7 Series (32" and 55") Discontinued

Will these new TVs have a Beonet connector? Will there be an option for an in-built 3D Blu-ray player for the Beovision 7-55 MK2 3D? Thanks,

  • Re: New Software!
B&O accidentally put the update on the server which sends it out. Some of you may have gotten the update some of you may haven't. If you haven't it is for the better as the new update was purely a test version not meant for final use and has problems all over the place. If you have gotten it you will need

  • Re: New Software!

Thanks mbee and Stan for this information. It looks like there are going to be a lot of new possibilities for the Beosound 5. I had noticed significantly increased network activity on the Beomaster 5 at around 2 am central time and checked to see if any changes had been made. It appeared nothing had changed and I ignored it. I hope the error free software

As an alternate to a wireless adapter, use a wireless network bridge and connect to the ethernet port on the Beomaster 5. I am using an airport express as a wireless bridge. Other inexpensive wireless routers can function as a bridge. Cisco and Linksys are the brands that I have tried.

  • Re: Death of the B&O Mobile / Cell Phone

My Serene was used for about a year. I purchased it new in Paris and have not only the european desk charger but also have a US desk charger and a car charger. I take it out of the drawer and look at occasionally. As a Beophile, it was something I had to have but the reality is that it looked great but was not very useful. I have had several iPhones
What is that?
It is a way of using your house electrical wiring to transmit ethernet data. This is not usually done in the US but does work.
