  • Beolab Penta midrange wiring

Bonjour, This might be a simple question to some of you but, on a pair of Penta 3, I just had the midrange refoamed and now I have a doubt on the wiring. On the 4 midrange speakers, the 2 middle ones are cross-wired, but I did not mark the wires properly and now on one - is connected to -, and the other...

  • Re: Penta "Project Twins"

Hi Eric. A few pictures of my Pentas pre the new skins from B&O. Wrinkle on back of LH Penta. Wrinkle on back of RH Penta. Needs a new top cap as well (from B&O). Re-rubbered Mids. Missing the skin I peeled off and measured. I started with gluing the ID to the cone. It helps if you stretch (slightly...

  • Penta MK1 and a door that doesn't lock

I have a pair of Penta MK1 with one kind of minor problem, the "door" (where the controls for sensitivity, bass level and power mode) can't be closed. When I press it to close it, it just clicks but it never locks the "door", it just opens at once. I wonder if anyone knows how...

  • Optical input to powerlink converter, need some advice on power link [solved..?]

Hi guys, I've finally had time to do some more work with my B&O equipment. :) If you want to skip straight to my problem, look for the underlined text. Because I've got a pair of Pentas standing in my basement not connected to anything, I got the idea that I wanted to connect them to my squeezebox...

  • Beolab Penta with some scratches

Hi! I have bought myself a Beosystem 7000 and are now looking for some Beolab Penta's to go with it. There's one pair for sale here, but they have some cosmetic damage... The seller sent me some pictures: The seller says that it isn't noticeable, but it looks to me like the one on the base...

  • Beolab Penta 3 dead

Hi all, I have posted questions related to this issue in the General Forum, but I guess this is the more appropriate forum for things B&O which have died... I have now spend hours working on this Penta III amp unit and have had no luck. I began with the powerlink cables, and the BC9500 and can confidently...

  • Problem with Beolab Penta (Beolab 150)

I've faced a problem: one of Beolab Penta loudspeakers has stoped working! It seems that the amplifier (which is supposed to be Beolab 150) no longer works: no red/green indication when it is connected to the power point. Ideas what it could be and how to repair it? Appreciate any help.

  • Re: BeoLab Penta: Front Panel of the amplifier

Is that the grey panel or speaker fret you're referring to? I presume it's the plastic panel... if so, you could simply use a little blue-tack! It's hardly a pristine repair but it should hold it... Good luck, Alex.

  • Beocenter 9000 Mute channel??

Well, it is like this... I have a Beocenter 9000 with a pair of generation 1 Pentas. Currently the cd player is busted, or more like the plastic part that holds the cd down is gone. So I'm using a generic cd changer through the aux port. The real problem is that sound only comes out of one speaker...
