Just put the 1987 Beolink 1000 manual on which details the shift keys. Andy's Shift Phono is not there though!

    Permission granted, George!

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

    Craig:

When you look at the end of a remote through you mobile phone camera you can see it light up, the camera can see the IR beams.

I can see it with my eyes, am I a freak (the answer will always be yes) or can other BeoWorlders see it too?

You can see a tiny glow in the IR LEDs. I can too but I believe not all people can.

A digital camera is a perfect tool for checking IR LEDs and CD player lasers (don't ever look directly into one of these, it's bad for your eye and you won't see anything anyways).

Well I have just suprised myself. Just took my BL1000 into a dark room and I too can see it with the naked eye.

Got it, that is how you select which pair of speakers you want to listen to. If I remember correctly you connect up to 16 pairs of speakers.

This is an old thread resurrected because he is selling a rare piece of B&O shop equipment for being able to switch sources between lots of different speakers to allow comparsion demonstrations between speaker types

So the SHIFT+PHONO and then a Number allows the demonstrator to say "now we will listen to the second movement on the B&O xxxx" et cetera

I think once upon a time (in an old version of this forum) there was a picture of this wonderful gadget

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
