I think I grabbed that cut out of the 1967 catalogue first. I have a few pixels missing - Evan did a tidier job of it than me.

    Hi Lee!

This sounds entirely fair to me!  I always wondered HOW you guys did it, and never realized it was less of a 'you guys' and more of a "YOU".
Quarterly draws for a small $50 membership still sounds fine to me. :)   Spend time with your family. :)

    LEE

When i purchased my first items of b and o it was from a beoworld member, and he advised me to join.

He said the wealth of knowledge of the members would be invaluable to me, HE WAS SO RIGHT!

I decided to join up a gold member, to help support the running of the site, i will continue to be a gold member in the hope that the site continues to exist in the future.

Whatever you decide will make no difference to me, all the best to you and your family, because they matter the most Yes - thumbs up

Re: THE BEOWORLD PRIZE DRAW - PLEASE READ

Okay everyone - I've listened and thought about your kind comments. Smile

What i propose to do is honour the 12 month period of keeping the draw going.  There are 620+ Gold Members, of which not all are active members and may not have seen this thread.  I doubt too many would complain if we went quarterly straight away but I feel that doing this the fair, honest and upfront way would be the one i feel most comfortable with.

I may reduce the cost of the prizes a little over the next 12 months but i'll still come up with some great 'one off's' and 'barn finds' as well as some really nice 'pre-owned' stuff too.  I made a commitment to BeoWorld, which I haven't taken lightly - and, as mentioned, this decision has already taken a year to reach.

Anyway - thank you to everyone for their support. It's very generous of you - and i'm sure my family will thank you also!

    Kindest Regards

    Lee

Re: THE BEOWORLD PRIZE DRAW - PLEASE READ

I love this site more and more for every day, and almost nothing can make me stop using it - So many kind people dedicated to one brand together in one place, which are sharing experiences, helping and having fun.

Lee, if you should dicide to change the draw, that would't be a problem for me either. That you want to keep the monthly draw going is very generous of you, but keep your family in first place.

Cheers to Beoworld, and especially to you Lee for keeping the site going.

Re: THE BEOWORLD PRIZE DRAW - PLEASE READ

I'm a bit late to this discussion - but wanted to add my support for LEE's decision.  The Prize Draw has always struck me as being amazingly generous (timezone keeps me away but always jump on later and follow the thread).  Like many have already pointed out - I'd be a gold member regardless to support the site and keep these old beo-whatevers still running.  The value of Beoworld are the passionate people who politely and positively respond to almost any query from any where.  I joined for the service and instruction manual library not the prizes - and will stay joined to support what Beoworld has become...

Doesn't need to be said - but Thanks LEE, and all involved in Beoworld in general...

Lee, fully support your decision, I like others that have comment in the thread am happy to pay the Gold Membership regardless of a prize draw.  I was a member of the original site before you took it over and transformed it into what it is today and thats why I’m very happy to pay the gold membership, you have delivered well beyond my expectations.

Hope you find a better life, work/prize draw balance next year

I always thought with amazement the amount of work that the management of PrizeDraw must generate for you guys, Lee and Botty ...

I think only 4 PrizeDraws a year is a very good idea, and will increase the delight of Beoworlders.

This is an opportunity to thank you Lee and the team around you for this fantastic work !

    Hi Lee

Fully support this decision and will be happy to keep my gold membership renewed to support the site and the great work that you do on behalf of everyone - I hadn't realised that so much was involved. Quaterly draw are fine and I don't know of any other site that gives you the opportunity to participate in them for so little a year - it will also give us something to look forward/excited about
