    Evan:
My BeoMaster 3000-2 is rosewood, type 2402 and a 108Mhz version.
That must be a rare version or not Evan?

Will keep you informed about the panels, even if I fail Sad

From what I gather, the 2402 is the one people are starting to look for - don't remember why to be honest! Also the FM band is a popular subject at the moment.

I'm sure you will get it right! But yes, keep me posted!

Yes, Leslie, for sure I do.

You already had some nice stuff back then.
As I do, you buy a lot... and sell some, too.

Next time that I will be in your area (city of ? ) I can stop by!

Still looking for an attyca 1 (small one) to put my beosystem 7000 on.
Or I will go for another furniture and put the Beolab/Beomaster 5000 on it - will have a look in the lifestyle section of the forum.

    Tot ziens!

    Hi Leslie,

I have just restored my RL140's but need to recover them, could you advise me on sourcing the speaker cloth, type of adhesive used and how to get the letters to emboss through the cloth please? Yours look wonderful!

    Kind regards

    Quite easy Dave,

    Cloth here in various colors.

"BANG & OLUFSEN" sign on the rectangle part area of the cabinet to be glued with glue spray (litterly translated dutch to english). Wait untill the glue is dry enough to push the cloth firmly on the sign. If it's to wet then the glue will come through the cloth. Before you put the cloth on the sign stretch it a little bit (you need 5 hands to do itBig Smile.

For the adhesive (double sided tape) I don't have any adresses but googling on Ebay will give you many results! Put some tape as well on the 2 lines where the straps will be placed after.

Hope you can understand my work instruction in poor Dutch-EnglishEmbarrassed. Your name Beowulf  sounds familiar. Haven't we met on EbayWink

    Good luck!

Now I've got these RL6000 (type 6522) which I reclothed. Man, these are beauties. Except for the cloth the rest is in new condition, no scratches or dents to see on the cabinet. Never saw them before. They have silver lines and the surrounding is black piano laquer. So, they must have the name Beovox SL6000 (Silverline).

    Sweet! Cool

Were they previously white RL6000s? The white versions had silver lines, if I remember correctly.... and still named Red Lines!

RL1000,2000, 6000 and 7000 all had piano black bodies with a silver line around them.

They had black cloth rather than the previous grey. The black cloth is slightly more hard wearing than the grey which was always a bit fragile.

    Re: RL60 metal plate

Here's my efforts ...went down the twin passive rads route  1st time and i have to say its a very tight solution. the only 5.25 passive rads left on the market are courtesy of they guy who designed this solution, Mike Cason. He got the factory in china to do another production run of 1000 units after they had been discontinued. They were made by the same danish firm who supplied the original drivers to b&O, very high quality. He used to sell conversion kits but then then sold the balance of his stock to a company in america you still have about 600 units but i forget their name ( "madisound" rings a bell i think....). They are the only passive rads that will fit the gap (trust me i scoured the world) and were only $7 each when i bought them!!!!! I did get stung by customs and the postage to the uk was pretty horrific also......

I have just tonight done the abr repair using the underlay for laminate floors solution...quicker , cheaper , sound can't be as good as a tuned passive rad but hey..... its quicker and cheaper :)

I also have the new poly gaps to re-do the cross over but haven't gone there yet...

ok...below is link to all my B&O pics from this summer including the ABR repair and video of them doing their thing... seemed easier than inserting pics individually
