    DrDimitris:

…and now get ready for the attack by the healthy ears of the forum like Koning….Laughing

I agree with you totally. It is WEAK.

Whoa ease up turbo, you only heard it in a showroom, you can't judge until you hear it in your home, my dealer offered enthusiastically for me to try it at home for this very reason! :0

I said 3 (three) showrooms, Dave!! Learn to read before you post. Wink

And of course. the best judge would be your individual room. I did not get the chance yet. Still…it is weak….

Re: B&W PV1 subwoofer add to 5.1 module of BV8-40?

    Macjonny1,

I think, the BeoLab 2 filters of any deep deep bass from single it passes to the BeoLabs. The PV1 has no line-level filter built in, and hence there is no way of connecting it in such a way that the PV1 will reduce the bass load on the BeoLabs. So it is only possible to use the PV1 or any other "non-subwoofer" with the DSS-module of the Beovision. If you would like to use a subwoofer with the dolby pro logic system or stereo system (meaning first you plug the subwoofer to the system and the subwoofer has to filter the lower frequencies and has to pass the higher frequencies to the connected Beolabs), it is the only way to use a original Beolab subwoofer.

Therefor I do not want to limit my options now and for the future.

    BeoVision 8-40, ATV2, BeoSound 4, Front BeoLab 9, Rear Beolab 4000 MKII, Beo 4

Makes sense to me!  If you are going to possibly hook it to your front channel speakers in a non-surround setup then the BL2 will keep your options open.

    DrDimitris,

go for the BL2, you wont regret a cent of the invested amount! You will sit in front of the speakers/subwoofer with big childrens eyes. The best investment in my living room.

    Koning,

with the DSS-module you can simply regulate the intensity of the BL2. In my living room 22 square meters it is operating approx. with less 50%.

However I personally even think the BL2 is better for music than for movies. I have heard the BL11 in combination with the BL8002. I have spoken to 4 different B&O experts. The BL11 would not make a huge sence in my case. The BL8002 would not benefit from the BL11.

I like a solid bass. So the BL2 was the best choise for me. And I`m sure, not all people praising the BL11 are honest to themself.

BL2 best choise for me, of cause with music.
