Re: BluRay player - What are You using at home?

I imagine that those with the Sony 370 would notice that it runs quieter than the original PlayStation3?  IE; no fan noise

    Hi Guys,

I've decided to upgrade my Blu-ray player (Sony BDP-360) and for me i've decided on the Pioneer BDP-LX54. My reason for this is the sheer build quality and attention to detail. I feel this will give the best in pure picture and sound and I think it would be a fabulous player for any B&O television. I feel that this product will last!

I know that in radio and the DJ circuit (CD-J range) there is nothing to beat these mechanisms for CD players so i'm putting my faith in their Blu-ray players.

For the moment I am not thinking about upgrading my Samsung but if I should I have no doubt in my mind that I will go for the Oppo BDP-93 or BDP-95, really is a different league. Is audiophile sound quality and benchmark image quality at a very good price point (the BDP-93 is $499.00). The best value for the money you can find and the Beovision has its PUC.

One quick followup. As mentioned on the first page... I have a Panny 85K. Never really thought about it, but I would regard it as silent or near silent -never really noticed it. FWIW.

PS3 is the best Blu-Ray player, and the slim model is not too noisy

And you can play really cool good games on it! And you browse the web on it! And you can download movies directly on it! Why people even bother buying anything else is beyond me. Anyway back to BC2Wink

A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!
