I'm rather envious of that Jet Present of yours as well, John Smile

I've now managed to collect something useable from every decade except the 1920's and 50's. There's probably nothing practical left from the 20's and I think I have enough post-war valve radios as it is (certainly for this flat!), but we'll see...

Very nice. Reminds me a little of my Beolit 800 when it is horizontal.

    Here's a picture of a Frede-restored Beloab 5000 (not so rare) and a very-rare Stereo-width box on the right.

Also is my fully restored Beloit 1000 with a somewhat rare Beopower converter.

That's more like it!  Though they should be stacked the other way ideally for heat dissipation.  I hope mine look as good when they come back from Frede.

There must still be lots of old stuff out there still worth showing.  Don't be shy.

    Dave,

You will love your restoration if you are doing this through Frede.  He is a true artist.

Thanks for the note about the Beolab/Beomaster stacking debate.  I had seen that on another thread and hadn't acted on it yet.

This is one of my very rare B&O items.

It is the high tone speaker sold in the early 60's. I have 2 pairs and tonight I sold one pair to a very good costumer. This is B&O's first product spreading the sound 360 dg and simple made with two high tone driver and the conical brass part in the middle.

    Nice pics!

So much for ALT being cutting edge speaker design, it appears to be 50 years old :)

Re: Pictures of rarities and older things.

I have a seltction of old Ribbons. BM5 BM6 BM7 + BM4, and I use them, professionally, every weekend at a venue in Viborg where I work as a sound-engineer. I have the luxury of being able to confiugre 3 x mono or 2 x mono + 1 stereo. Visiting soundengineers are generously offered the use of them, and I haven't yes met one who didn't end up being soooooo envious. Nothing produces that sound when put in front of a guitarcabinet or suspended over a drumkit.  To protect them from any damage, I've inserted a D-powerplud from renowned mic-manufacturer Røde. It boosts 20 dB and filters out phantompower. Two more pictures will follow.

More BM. This time it's 2 x BM6 on a stereo guitarcabinet setup.

Wonderful to see these things in actual use rather than behind glass.
I agree, they have a unique sound,
