Hey Paul. Thanks. This site isn't the most intuitive with loading photos lol, so it looks on the wrong angle, but you get the idea.
In terms of sound quality, i liken them to a crisper and deeper BL4, and I think it's sharper than my BL4000's which I adore.
I purchased the white model with white covers and received a complimentary pair of "green" covers. The green really is a pale blue, which I like. My dining room is dark blue and my living room is dark grey, and it looks great in either of those rooms. Pity they didn't have an orange cover, but out of the pastels the green / blue is the best.
In the store, I played a video clip from my iphone4 by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland "When Loves Takes Over". I'm not sure how many kpbs it is, but it sounded pretty great. Ok, i just checked in my itunes library and it said 256kpbs. Most of my songs range from 128 to 1090, depending on how i added them to the library at the time.
When I unboxed it and took a lot of photos in the process and set it up, I played some Blondie, Pet Shop Boys, and I was mucking around with the iphone's EQ settings: Bass Reducer which was effective as it was a bit boomy for me. I like songs to sound crisp, clear and clean if that makes sense?!@!$!
I can't wait to try and hook it up to a few other sources.
It's compatible with my ipad1 and my iphone. I also plugged in the latest nano to see if I could use the radio from the nano (as it has a built in radio), but it said I had to connect the headphones to the (headphone) jack in the nano for radio reception. Doesn't matter, the B&O app is pretty good.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the quick reply. Wow great view! And yes, that sounds like a really decent sounding system. The BS8 has really grown on me and I think it's design is pretty iconic now! I definately would chose the white one - I love it! Thanks for the kpbs info etc. As I said, its important for iTunes to sound good on it as that's where my music come from along with ripped CDS at 320kpbs.
Working in radio for the UK's largest group, all of our music is ripped or emailed to us at 320kpbs and not lossless etc. Pre-recoding of shows though are saved as WAV.
Cool comparison to your BL4000's. I certainly think i'll be happy with the BS8 when I decide to purchase one in the Autumn.

Done some recabling inside the cabinet, to house also the master unit of the BC2. Also added a table stand for the BC2. Think it adds a lot to the look of the BC2 as well as makes it easier to operate when standing up. Cabinet also house a TVIX N1 mediaplayer, a Samsung BluRay and a PVR cable box.
The BL8000 are the ones I won in the Prize Draw earlier this year.
The lamp is Caravaggio T Table Lamp, by danish designer Cecilie Manz. Of course dimmed with LC2.
I´m thinking of changing to white frets on the BL:s and on the BV10 as well. However, the missus only agree to change on the speakers but I think it may not look as nice, only having the speakers in white.
Anyone good at Photoshop that could manipulate the picture, to show what it would look like?

I like the BV10 installation a lot! It looks very good and like you have made your mind about the installation.
Personally I would stick with the black design especially as I have seen the other one at my local dealer hin in Munich. It does not look as good as the photoshop version. e.g. you ll see some blackframes throught the white.

White in white, why not maroon or a deep burgundy color

When I get home tonight I think I'll have to PhotoShop the Eyes of the Hurricanes (tm) cloth into this photo!

Thanks for the design ideas. Think personally still think all black, all white (or all burgundy) makes most sense.

@Earle:
That is a very cool room you have there! You might need some older speakers or a complete Beolab 5000 system from the period?
I have now integrated my 4400 into the bedroom setup:
And my retipped MMC6000 with Shibata stylus has arrived!
Rock on!

@ Hiort,
Your B&O dealer has a poster available with a picture of the 46'' / 40'' / 32' BV10 The poster is 46'' format so for a smaller screen you have to fold it. It shows the BV10 with white speakercloth. Since you have the BV10 already, you might want to cut out the speakerpart and place it in front of the TV just to get a feeling on how things will look in your room.

tournedos:
Nice, cozy feeling in that room, Earle - furniture along those lines (excl. the sofa) was very popular here in the '50s and '60s
Thanks! Yes, we were trying to go for a Mid-Century look. The couch was the best we could do on a budget. It's actually Ikea's Karlstad, which isn't bad. There are better covers for it, but cost $$$.
BTW, you can't see it, but there's a Cona behind the chair on the left.
