    Evan! Your hound looks beautiful! Laughing Laughing

    Italian Greyhound? I have a Saluki and he is a beast!

    Thank you! And yes you are correct - Italian Greyhound, her name is Nagel and now 12 years old!

    A Saluki would at at least be able to sleep without a blanket, such hair! Laughing

    I think the visual effect is great

    How are the BL9s versus having a Beolab 2?

    First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    Re: Flash your B&O!

    If`ve written a little report in the German subforum.

    To make a long story short.

    Without any question the BL9 blows away the BL8002/BL2 thanks to its ALT. Sound is so clear and brilliant. BL9 is like a glass of cold water straight from the spring of the hills. You have the impression as every vowel, every single music instrument is "thrown" into the room. Yes, I was happy with my BL8002/BL2 till the first minutes I`ve listened to the BL9. You will not need any subwoofer for music. The bass is so sharp, fast and clear. Will you need a add. sub for action movies? Well, depends on if you do not only like to hear, but also like to feel music (heavy bodily movement of lower frequencies). If you like a kick into your balls if a car is blown away, if you to fell if a door is smashed, then you are in need of an add. subwoofer. With the BL9 you will rediscover music again. You will listen to music, not only consume music.

    My new Beo5 - second prize in last month's draw!  Unfortunately I can't get it to charge as yet (or it was DOA, GF!).  So for now, you'll have to deal with half my mug in the screen's reflection.

    Current primary listening:  SMMC20EN -> BG4002 -> BM4000 -> Beovox M70

    Wow! I haven't actually replied to this thread yet so here it goes!   Below are pictures of my two prized possessions, by Beogram RX (which I've had for 13 years and am looking to sell), and my newer Beogram 5000. Both were serviced expertly by B&O in Toronto.  I also have two of the bottle openers, one I use as a keyring. :)

    I also have better, high res pictures of these on Flickr, as well as a demonstration video (for friends) on how easy it is to use the 5000!

    The Danes and Belgians must have been freebasing the pickled herring when they came up with the design, Not something I want to deal with again anytime soon, but it was worth getting it done. Hopefully I'll be able to coax another 27 years out of it. Such a beautiful piece on the outside. Inside it was nearly as bad a s a CD50.

    I much prefer the simple lines and austerity of devices such as these.
