Quit swiveling your Bikkel! ...you'll go blind!

Back to the OP: Is this the first prototype? I look forward to seeing your project progress! Smile

If you look at the first part of the clip (with display), you will see that you can operate it without table (in hand as well).

It is a first prototype. Some later additions are not shown. For example i added basic handwrite recognition. So in a way you could select any equipment/command by just writing it.

    Re: Buttonless remote

Thank you all for the comments.

To come back to habits, the Bikkel consept goes in a way back to the past. The old fashioned volume control was just a dial. In a way i bring the dial back with the only difference that it is now made remote. This characteristic lowers the learning curve.

I am not a manufacturer so i try to sell the idea as an invention to an established company.

I do particularly like that part of the idea. B&O tried something similar with the MCP5500-7000 and it's great in principle, but in practice the volume just doesn't follow the ring well enough, probably because the two-way communication reserves too much of the airspace.

    Good luck with the project!
