Yes, tvix will play any video format, including br-rips. You can also take a look at a Popcorn Hour C200. Add a cheap blue ray drive in it and you don't have to rip your br-dvd. Popcorn is also PUC-controlled.

Re: Apple TV adds internet Radio

I have a Tvix 6500 too ad it`s really great. But this weekend I installed an LG BD 390 BR player. Also fully PUC controlled it can play Blu-Rays and HD movies from USB HD and via network. I have an 1 TB NTFS USB HD and a 1 TB Mac OS HD via airport station connected. UI is very simple. The YouTube feature is working great and is fun. The BD 390 decodes DD, DTS, DD True HD, DTS HD...It supports linkrooms directly as it handles digital and analogue video AND audio simultanously !

Right now I`m watching to a BR: Return To Forever Live in Montreaux 2008 with Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White in Cinema mode. Great picture and DTS HD sound..besides great music!!! So I´m thinking about selling my Tvix......

I forgot the startup time. It´s very fast. The curtain of my BV7-40 is working again!

    Price was 240 Euro.

And now it`s time for the "Hymn Of The Seventh Galaxy"......(again)

I had not heard of BlueRay rips before .. what software are people using ?

Windows and/or Max OSX please :)

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    mr_anders_son:

    1. You can connect to MAC without any problem.I do

    2. DVD/CD cover works ofcourse to, and it´s very easy to get them

Interesting on both points, but if anything it highlights the fact that there is no support and that it was confirmed to me that it was not Mac compatible. I assume that you're dropping in the files w/ a jpeg of the same name? This is how it works on WD.

There is scarcely anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey. - John Ruskin

Hi, there, it’s my pleasure to share my experience here. Personally, I use Pavtube blu-ray ripper to handle my blu-ray disks, besides ripping blu-rays to many other audio and video formats, it has a "Directly Copy” function, which enables users to directly copy blu-rays to the hard drive of the computer or the external hard drive without any loss of the original quality. Also, it has a Mac version that is Pavtube Blu-ray ripper for Mac. Hope my info helps.
