Well, the thread has run - and the decision has been made...

    Here are the top three...

    in Third Place..

Beocool, with the 'CONGLI' - a thing that just looks like.. errr.. a thing.  Is it a portable radio?  If so, port it into the nearest bin.

And the Winner of a BeoWorld YSL T-Shirt in the size and colour of his choice is..

    Burantek - with the 'BS9000/BL6000 Rip-Off'

If imitation is a form of flattery, then B&O need to rewrite the meaning of flattery.. i'd be livid, then i'd flatten the maker of this.

Hideously naff, ugly and above all cheap and nasty. A worthy winner i'm sure we'd all love to take a lofty slice into with a Samurai sword, then punt the remains off the edge of a cliff.

Well done to all that submitted! Big Smile

Burantek - PM me with size and colour, plus an address to send to!

Only just caught up with this thread.

Congratulations to Jaff for finding such a  horrible hi-fi.

I don't think I will ever fully  recover from seeing the Barbie iPod dock though, a truly gruesome bit of kit!

Too bad the competition is over, I just spotted a strong contender:

This is from a local auction. The seller says the radio part is not working, but the cassette is OK. He wants for it - are you sitting down - 2000 freaking euros! Yes - thumbs up

    One more that deserves attention:

The funny part is that this is built (of course) around Philips CDM2, and the rest of the circuitry seems a quite reasonable reference design around the same Philips components you'd find in a contemporary Beogram CD - so this should be a very good CD player!

    So I was at a friend's house when I noticed this in the basement;

A BeoSound Century by Fisher! Laughing

    Another apalling imitation!

The Adam A7s sat on my desk are pretty high up on the ugly list!

They sound quite good though!! Monitoring speakers, so they're not strictly 'HiFi'...

Not bad thank you - just finishing off my first year at University in Cardiff and very much getting into professional sound, more so than before!

I still occasionally like to keep up-to-date with what's going on in B&O land...

Pretty ugly? THAT has to be the understatement of the century Bruno - gruesome, hideous & goddam awful are just a few of the words I'm allowed to post that come even close to describing that ensamble.

I bet it didn't come cheap either which just proves that money cannot buy taste.
