tournedos: evman140: So all I will ultimately be doing is adding a wall plug? Yes, I guess Bieele is right and they have been just cut off. Did you get the speakers as a working pair? Over here cutting the power cords is a common (and annoying) practice of marking electrical items in unknown condition... You can just splice a new cord with a plug into the old remains, but I personally don't like that solution. Somebody some day might accidentally yank the connection loose, and then you have live wires dangling about.

...........Not to mention a fire risk - don't do it. Replace the cable properly.
Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.
Get the power chords replaced.
If you can't do it yourself then leave it to your local electronic repair shop.
I have replaced several myself, it's not rocket science and should not cost much.

Yea I'm going to do it myself, and I will be repalcaing the entire thing for many obvious reasons.
I'm not anywhere near them right now so I cant look, are the cord connections just tie ins with screws or soldered?
Evan
