    Re: Courier Experiment...

I'm quite surprised as well. I guess it's better to send stuff around without anything around, so the courriers will take more care of it. Funny somehow!

    Re: Courier Experiment...

I'm not really all that surprised. It makes sense to me, when somethings in a box, it's just a box, "MEH whatever" they must think. I also suspect most couriers have grumpy days and if they have heavy boxes to move, they get stroppy, so why would they care about what happens to a heavy boring brown box? It's in the psychology i think. Look at that shiny and expensive looking tv, of course, they're going to take extra care...

At least that would give the dishonest ones an informed choice of which box to steal... Hmm

A perfect example of how counterintuitive  reasoning provides surprising results.

Hans Monderman, a Dutch traffic planner, had a similar insight. He realized that a major cause of traffic accidents was the signage and traffic control lights. "Remove those," he said, "and the number of accidents will fall."

"Are you crazy?" was the most common retort. Then he was allowed to try it out.

Epilogue - Martin has been sent to a retired TV sanctuary and was last seen scampering happily across green fields, enjoying his new lease of life in his autumn years. He has made a new friend, an LX5500 called 'Ellie the LX' and romance could well be in the air. Although Ellie is a little old to be making MX1500's, they are already talking about adopting an 8902.

Now that is truly geeky, and I like it LaughingLaughingLaughing

    9 LEE:

And finally - the part of every TV i have ever couriered that has been damaged.. the top.

I have had supremely well packed televisions broken by couriers - which i could only assume King Kong had used as a perch for swatting aeroplanes as they were completely marmalised.

However, 'sans packing' - we have a 'top' that actually arrived less dusty than it was sent and a fresh lustre only achievable by a good hand waxing.. Eh? Huh?

Lee, that's not the old MX4000 I gave you back when you delivered the BV5 is it?!

Also ' A good hand waxing'  Not too sure what to make of that!  LOL
