    Moxxey,

You and I are on the same side of many issues, but as a retailer I have to say that the software issues are more an issue with the dealers than the televisions. Any issues we have here with the software jump and the resulting "bugs" can be temporarily solved by reverting to the previous version. Once the fix is in place we can re-address whichever systems it has affected.

I wish that all store experiences were top notch, but as long as stores are independantly owned there is likely to be less consistency than I'd personally like to see.

I do agree, however, that if a screen of ours is buzzing and this issue has been "let go" by a retailer, someone should be taken to task.

It is not that the dealer has "let go",  but he is out of what he can do, B&O apparantly know that the panels can have a hummingnoise, i have searched the internet, and there are other issues with samsung panels and low frequency humming.

No, if you can alter the contrast to fix it, then it would not likely be an electrical issue. That is quite strange. However, at least here in the US, we have a quick and painless process to replace defective products. Even if this process needs to occur more than once, your dealer is not finished until you have a working panel. It really shouldn't be as hard as it's become for you and I'm sorry to hear that it has.

There is scarcely anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey. - John Ruskin

So am i, i have decided NOT to buy the BV4, i cannot justify to my self, that a 15000$ tv is not good enough. The solution is not to buy a more expensive onbe, it it to have this one fixed, or get my money back. My dealer is also ready to make a total refund, but i would rather not have to buy anything other than B&O.

    Exactly! The best...

Worse case there is always an Avant or a BV8 (cheap) until a proper B+O comes out

I talked to my dealer today and on tuesday he is moving all the BV7's in to the quiet Beoliving Room, and then the listening contest begins :)

Hopefully we can find a tv that doesn't make that stupid noise.

Then my reaction would be to sell all my B&O and buy a 50" Pioneer Kuro Plasma. If B&O have deceided that this noise is within limits, then they are slacking on quality, and then i am off. One last try would be to email the new CEO, since his words are "we cannot be known for bad quality"

Thats fair, you could even change dealers... but im sure they will work this one out. And you have to alway remember, you could get any crappy lcd or plama for example, keep it for 1 or 2 years or however long ntil b and o release a newer, improved model, then simply buy one later...

i dont know what the HD rush is all about, since i still havent managed to watch ANYTHING HD on my TV and i have it for 1 month already....

No returns, just to show the different types of wallmountings, speakers, colors. He has modified a BL10 to fit the original mounting of BL7.1-4, and oh my god, ths BL10 looks fantastict beneath a BV7-40 :)

If i can get the humming problems solved, i will get a BL10 instead of the BL7.4

Ok, that's it, i have had my last B&O equipment, enough is enough.

My dealer told me when i came to the store today to test the tv's, that he has talked to B&O Struer, and they confirmed that ALL the BV7-40's has this humming noise, it is noticable when the tv is showing a very dark image. I will not ruin it for all of you, and if you cannot hear it, you are very lucky. I however cannot live with a tv that is making so much noise that i turn it off instead of watching it. B&O can and will not do anything more to help me resolve the problem, and encuried the dealer to give me a full refund for my tv.

I am sorry it has come to this, but now it makes more and more mening to me when i have read articles on how B&O is doing financially and quality wise.

Now the only problem i have is what to do with the 8000£ i have left after i have sold my speakers, and bought a 50" inch Kuro and 7.1 surround receiver and 4 dali speakers with subwoofer.

Bye Bye B&O you just lost yourself a customer who has been loyal for almost 20 years, and has put a lot of money in the product. But this is it.

My dealer has been very very good to me, but he cannot do anything more now.

All my friends has been laughing at me when i told the that my 6000£ tv is chrashing when whatching HDMI sources not connected via SCART, and this is also one of the reasons i am saying stop now. I have never had a tv with so many problems as this one.

    Hi Weebyx,

I thought a humming noise was peculiar to plasma panels.

Some people have experienced it with the Pioneer Kuro,so make sure you don't jump from the frying pan into the fire.

If you are contemplating a Kuro, have a look at the KRP models due imminently. They, unlike the 50/6090s,have a "Pure" setting which switches off the TV's internal processing, and utilises the processing of the external processor.

Apparently, the KRPs are shipping ex factory set up to near enough ISF settings.

Yes plasma panels are also making a slight humming, but it is nothing compared to my BV7. And the main difference is that plasma noise is the same regardless of picture shown, my BV7 is changing the noise constantly from very loud to loud to gone to very loud to gone to loud and so on, based on the contrast of the image shown. If it was a constant noise i might have lived with it, but when the noise is inconsistent, then it becomes that more notisable
