The sheep made reference to Samsung branded products. What B and O products would that include? Serene, Serenata?  any others?

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

    Beotime, Beotalk, Beocoms

BeoSound 6 for certain, and maybe some components inside BeoVisions? This I'm not sure about.

Every company needs to have it's black swan :-) :-)

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

STRUER (Mutton Financial) - Bang & Olufsen AS said its chief research scientist: Dr. Moreau has been released from his responsibilities with immediate effect. Apparently he was inverse engineering ACL technology and adapting it for use in an upcoming new product: Beomic 9
Reports stated that something bhaad happened in the lab and several of his prototypes are now amiss. More news as we can stand it.

    Hello Jeff,

What went wrong with his prototypes ?

BTW, do we know if something will be done with a future BV7 46' or 50'.

    Re: Hello Everyone!

    Hi Peter, Bjorn and John,

According to the separation between Samsung and B&O ( a good thing IMHO), will B&O plan to produce a full touch-screen mobile phone like the iPhone with better design and material ?

If so, will this new mobile phone be able to communicate with the new BS5 to come (MP3, .avi, .mov files exchange, MP3 library synchronisation, etc.) ?

    Thanks for your reply,

I do not think they are talking about separation, but the fact that the Samsung name will not be engraved along the B&O name on some of the products.

    Ok thanks.

So samsung will still cooperate with B&O but in the backstage. Seems B&O wants to preserve its marketing image, not being involved with a brand that's not playing in the same field.

    Re: Hello Everyone!

B&O are basically the best at the internals too bear in mind. Look at BeoLab 5s, 9s, BeoSystem 3, BeoCentre 6 - all examples of some of the best electronic engineering on the market...

def agree on some of their world renowned hardware proficiencies , particularly regarding speakers and integrated amplification ( ice )

just now maybe samsung can get all the other stuff moving , like their tv's etc and integration , maybe they can help with the software side too ?

who knows - maybe apple will license os-x to them ?

    SecretSheep:

We have been hearing rumours of a new chassis for the smaller BV7. More connections and HDMI. This will differentiate the BV7 from the entry BV8. However the largest in the BV8 range will have a similar chassis to the smallest BV7.

This is great news/gossip! Did you also hear when these new products would hit the market?

Keep your ears open, we love news/gossip!

From what I had understood, Samsung will no longer be working with B&O.
