Thanks for all suggestions tried the power reset and worked this time! Maybe I should wait a few minutes before reseting the power.

hello for this problem reboot your beomaster 5 on this BS 5 display it s write recovery before plug a clavier on usb on BM5 and choose recovery with fleche up down and ok choose language and ok the beomaster 5 works during few minutes do not touch him the time depend internet connection .when bm 5 stop . Go to setting and download the new version of program lets him works during 15 mn or plus depend internet connectionn? do not affraid your music collection is always in the bm 5 lets bm 5 works apologize for my english Pascal Reunion Island s i do that it s ok for me

Your right first unplug everything, then replug only the mains and restart

NO! UNPLUGGING THE MAINS (FOR SOME MINUTES) WILL ALLOW A "COLD" START!

unplug everything en reboot the BS5/BM5. see what happens than

(naturally don't unplug the mains..............)

Disconnect the BM5 from mains for SEVERAL minutes

- in the meantime check all connections between BM5 <> BS5 and the external conections as well
- restore power, let the system boot and check if everything is OK

- if not, reboot again and select "recovery" at the boot screen
- and let the system recover (you'll lose your favorites/playlists and have to reconfig the system again)
- after recovery trigger a manual SW-Update

- if you don't get a boot screen - contact dealer / service

Hi,

I have reset the power to the Beomaster 5 (server ) a few times but still have the same problem - I assume this is same way of rebooting if not then how do I do this?

Your beosound 5 has lost its handshake with the BM5

Reboot the BM5 manually and see what happens

Hi,

I have Beosound 5 system - it has been working fine including applying the latest software update. However last night I noticed thatit would not switch off. So I had a power reset but all I see on the head unit is the B&O sign with the red light flashing. I have tried to get sound but no luck. Also I have tried Beoconnect but cannot connect. I have done a power reset a few times but no chnage? Any suggestions?
