All is well now. Somehow music server was again off even though I had put it on, so now device is beomaster5. Thanks a lot for your time. The only problem was myself !! Using imediacontrol (does not pause)

Twonky locates and displays Beomaster5. Have you tried the eLyric app? It seems to work the best for me.

The diskstation is my synology nas harddisk where I keep my music backup - apparently twonky and imediacontrol for that matter can only see the diskstation, not beomaster5. I take it that your library says beomaster5??

I have been struggling for the past few hours to get twonky back on track again, it froze, then the iphone froze, and I had to reinstall twonky, but alas the result is the same. It plays, but it seems from my diskstation, even though beomaster is the player. And when I want to play a track it says unable to start playback because beosound stops on PAUSE - I wonder why.

Anyway here is my library : diskstation (selected), eyeconnect, twomky server (8iphone), I press music, press iphone icon down left >select beomaster5 as player, so the tracks come from my diskstation, don't they?

I am not sure what a diskstation is. I get the same message about unable to start playback. Pressing play on the Beo 4 will start it.

In imediacontrol beosound does not go on pause, but it still get the tracks from my diskstation......

A thought, maybe try shutting the Twonky app down, turning the Beosound on, and then turning app on. I think I did that once and it helped one of the apps I have tried find it.

I am at work right now so I will tell you as best I can without having the Beosound in front of me.

In the Twonky App there are places to select both the server and the player. Once it finds the device you can select it. If the app is not finding the device, I am not sure why.

From the home screen select the book icon at the top left and that should give you a list of all detected devices. Click on the circle by the one you want and press set at the bottom right.

Then, you select music and at the bottom left there will be an icon, on mine a phone. Press it and it will give you a list of possible players to choose in the same manner.

As I am at work both lists show only the iPhone.

How do you do that - the oly devices twonky can find are diskstation and eyeconnect. As I wrote in the other post I have now enabled audiomaster and music server. Have you altered anything else? As I am writing Twonky is now frozen...., but imediacontrol is working 8diskstation)

With Twonky I am able to 1.play the music on the Beomaster 5/Beosound 5 and control it with the Tonky app on iPhone or iPad, 2. Stream music from iPhone or iPad to the 5 and control it with the app, and 3. Stream music from the iPad to the 5 and control it with the iPhone.

Thanks a lot. It works with twonky, imedicontrol can't find a device. however it finds my synology diskstation, not my beomaster, so the music comes from the diskstation and is played through beomaster, is that correct? on the iphone display it say beomaster5 underneath the cover.

Go to: MODE - SETTINGS . Press right - right - GO . Go to: MAINTENANCE - MUSIC SERVER - select yes/no

Thank you for your answer. Now I have set to Beosound to Audiomaster, but how do I put Music Server on? In network info says: music server disabled, bonjour service not running. How do I enable??

I did not have to put an XML file in and both Twonky and Plugplayer found my Beosound. Do you have the Beosound set to Audiomaster and Music Server ON?

I have now read the posts regarding the update and am a little confused: I have downloaded plugplayer which wants an xml file - what is this, and twonky can't find beosound5, and imediacentral can't either, so is possible that one could write a short "tutorial for dummies" about how to set up your beosound5/beomaster5 with one of these new apps. By the way my Beo5 has stopped working - can't get in contact with my beosound5 - can I reset the remote and how?
