&lt;p&gt;I listen to 192kHz &amp;amp; 96kHz &amp;quot;unlimited tracks&amp;quot;. These should sound softer because they are mastered to get the whole dynamic range of the hi-res. Remastered cd are often limited so they sound &amp;quot;better&amp;quot;. This is partly done by let them sound louder.
