Hi,

I use the BM5 with Beosound 5 and the BV7 IV and the BM is only connected with the BV7 with the masterlink. All working fine!

I dont have the BS5, only the BM5, and it is connected to BV7-40 mkIV with DVI->HDMI and s/pdiff.

It works, but I have a humming noise from the speaker, which I have been told should be fixed with the BV7-40 Update in week 48.

I am very much looking forward to this update.

I don`t know much about your setup, but Masterlink, DVI/VGA and analogue audio should work. spdif is meant for direct use with Beolab 5.

That seams like an awful lot of cables ? In my setup I will currently not use the link function to other rooms.

Does that mean I need the following cables wetween the BM5 and BV7; DVI-I ->HDMI, Masterlink, spdif ?

Do I need the stereo rca cable ?

My BM5 is connected to my BV7-40 MKIII via Masterlink (for controling and distributing sound to link rooms), spdif (for digital audio), stereo rca cable (analogue audio), HDMI cable (DVI - HDMI, for picture), and rca video cable (for distributing composite video to link rooms - "future use"). Everything is working fine.

Hi,

I am just about to buy the Beosound 5 together with the Beomaster 5.

In order for me to figure out how to run the cables, I wanted to figure out how many cables goes between the BM5 and the BV7 ?

I know the masterlink cable is one, but is there also other cables needed ?
