The problem is that after recovery the system is running with 5.00 correct. But now it makes a update itself up to 5.02 - and than I have the same problem - nothing works fine.

Can I stop the automatically updating ??

Re: Beosound 5 after update - nothings works like before

Thank you Stan,

the connecton was o.k. because sometimes there was the MENUE on the sreen of the BV9 but I couldn´t start from there. Now I have done a RECOVERY - all is running fine now - hope for a few time !

Re: Beosound 5 after update - nothings works like before

It sounds like your BM5 and BV9 are not recognizing each other. I would check every connection and the option programming. If this all look OK, I'd try a masterlink reset (turn off and unplug all ML devices, then plug them back in - plugging in the BV9 last).

I have the update and my system is working fine (but I do not have a BV9).

If you put the BM5 into service mode, you might look around on the harddrive for something that looks like the previous version of the software, but I would do that unless nothing else worked. It would be very disappointing if B&O released and update that broke basic capabilities as you describe. I hope it is something wrong (and easy to fix, like a cable connection) in your environment that was not noticed until the BM5 rebooted.

after updating my BS/BM 5 I have now the following problem: I can´t start PC with my Beo4/5. The sreen of my BV 9 is black - no menue is shown. No PHOTO or WEB can be startet. When starting n.music or n.radio the screen of my BS5 is also black - no cover, no station is shown.

If I start BS5 directly with n.music or n.radio or directly at the BS5 the display of BS5 shows all correct.

Before updating all runs correct.

BS/BM5 Application 4.02.01.1291, BS5 Firmware: 1.30a; BM5 OS IMAGE 5.00; BM5 OS UPDATE 5.02

Can anybody help - perhaps is there a possibility to downgrade to the old software ?
