Sorry for the delay. Been catching some annual rays and off-line.

Beojeff has the best method. I think the stand and the mount are more robust than you thing.

I found that the following helped very much:

1. Be certain to arrange the cables EXACTLY as shown in the manual and tie them as indicated with the cable tie.

2. Laying the screen face down on some very soft cloths while positioning the stand OVER the screen in the 20 degree angle. This gave better balance in getting the mount flush with the screen and made it easier to keep the proper flush position while turning the mount to lock it into place.

thanks for the advice !

In fact, i made a "simulation" without the cables because i thought the problem was the cables.

But even with just the stand and the BS5, i couldn't turn it !

I didn't try with lots of "brute" force because i was afraid to break something !

Do you really think i can force on it to get the right angle ?

Steph,

I have the table stand and did my own installation so I know that a fair amount of psysical force is needed to twist the Tablestand into the right position. Also check that the cables into the BS5 are well clear away from the "wall" of the BS5 so that you have the needed space to fit the tablestand connection into the BS5. It took a while and some swearing but with some cabling adjustments and brute force it worked out in the end.

Hey Mr 10%,

I believe you got the table stand.

Did you fix the BS5 without painful ?

I can fix the BS5 but after can't move it to the right angle (180°).

It stays at a 20° angle like in the small brochure but i can't turn it down.

I disconnect all the cables and try a simulation with just the stand and the BS5 but it is the same conclusion !

Maybe you got an answer for me ?

The BS5 comes with a generic coupler. This coupler connects the aluminium parts of the BS5 to all the other mounting options:-

On its own:- Screw the coupler to the wall, and have the BS5 lie flat/parallel to the wall

Extended Wall Stand (supplied):- bolt/screw the 2-piece kit to the wall. Presents the BS5 at an angle.

Extended Table Stand (optional):- Heavy base with little aluminium foot. Free-standing/movable. Mass keeps the BS5 upright and at an angle.

Upright Stand (optional):- Like the table stand but lighter. Needs fixing to the horizontal surface. Noted by the lack of aluminium foot.

Floor Stand (optional):- Like its counterpart the BC2. Heavy base, long slender pole, mounting for the BS5. GBP500 I believe.

The other table stand is a "free" black stand with a small alu ring.

Unlike the other stand, the BS5 can be "moved" and placed everywhere on the table.

It is not a stand that must be fixed.

I just got mine and try to fix it to the BS5 but it's painful !

Could someone explain the mounting/stand options for the Beosound 5? It is my understanding that a wall-bracket comes with the unit. Also, there seems to be an optional wall bracket that can also be used as a table stand. However, isn't there yet another table stand?
