I found out what's the problem my self. Apparently the BP5.00 when operating on Win VISTA, need to have turned the "User Control" or "program Launcher" control (don't know the correct VISTA english term) turned on, othervise it will not "launch" the BP5.00, but 4.86 works fine without!

The "user control" is the function that blocks programs to run without you authorizing them.

Hello.

I have got problems getting my Beoplayer 5.00 working on my VISTA PC. It's a VISTA HOME PREMIUM (SP1) edition with administrator rights, and even with Firewall and User Control turned off it dosn't work. The installation whent fine with no reported faults (tried 3xreinstallation). When VISTA is running, the BP5.00 icon is shown in the WIN System Tray, but normal activation via mousehold in the right part of screen, or 'clic' on icon dosn't activate the program.

Wird part - maybe?

On my 'work' laptop, with VISTA Business (SP1) wirh only User rights and firewall and user control activated, BP5.00 is working fine!

I tried installing 'Dot Net Frame 3.5' advised by my PC service without any improvement.

I noticed that under 'services' (Job Mangager), BeoLauncher is trying to run frequently, but is terminated all the time.

Any surgestions?
