I have done that procudure above.

Into setup, opt programming, then pressed 'lounge' - the area where DOCK is, and it "clicked"but didnt do anything and still does not work.

OK, I just read your latest post. So let's try the following (from the FAQ), asuming you have only a Beo5 at hand and no Beo4.

Option programming with Beo5/Beo6:

While holding the • button, press the centre button to bring up the SETUP menu on Beo5/Beo6.
Let go of both buttons.
Press ‘Option Pgm’ to bring up the Option Programming display on Beo5/Beo6.
Press the button that matches the zone in which the audio system is placed, for example, ‘Audio Area

B&O Products have different options to react when receiving IR signals. These are V.Opt for video products, A.Opt for audio products and L.Opt for link room products. These Options are from 0 to 6. Option programming is done with Beo4 or Beo5/6. Usually when you have only one B&O product in a room, you set Option 1. Factory setting for Beosound 8 is 5, so this could be your problem.

Still no wiser - I have pressed 'Dock' and pressed everything but will still not work with my Beosound8.

What do you mean by Option program? I just selected Beosound 8 in the config software and it doesnt work. I'll have a look at the FAQs

I have configured my Beo5 to work with my Beosound 8 using the official software from Version 4.11

Has anyone had issues controlling a Beosound 8 with this? Mine doesn't work at all - No Play/Pause, Previous or Next and the wheel will not control the volume.
