I think it works by measuring the static electricity or something like that. It is used I think to wake the Beo6 so it shows the screen, keyboard lights, and is ready to send commands.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you put the Beo6 on a table and wait for it to dimm, if you then move your hand around it without touching, you have a big change it will wake up.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;At leats mine does.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;this will for sure drain the battery life..&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Does anybody have this problem. It came after the last firmware update.&lt;/p&gt;
