Anyone else had issues controlling the Sky box directly with Beo5? I have been advised to use a scart lead between box and TV even though the picture/sound is using HDMI as it is a Sky+ HD Box.

Thanks very much. I am currently trying this. Quite difficult controlling the menus with is as it only seems to go one way when scrolling channels and unable to select channels from the main menu.

the Sky Plus HD box is popular - is there a direct control available for it?

There are several Sky boxes and the one I provided a link to in my previous posting is for a model Amstrad SkyHD DRX780i

The Sky Plus is different..

This doesn't seem to work for me. I am trying to control the Amstrad Sky Plus HD box direct control - no PUC/ no link room etc.

I have made an XML file for the Amstrad Sky HD for DIRECT control, i.e. not using the PUC

Hi guys,

Has anybody created an XML for direct control of Amstrad Sky HD boxes, have a link room with a non B&O TV where I would like to directly control the Sky box
