&lt;p&gt;I had the same problem and the solution that works for me is:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The macro assigned to standby hardkey containing 3rd party IR codes must be terminated by a b&amp;amp;o standby command.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;i have a little problem configuring my power button with a 3rd party device.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;the device itself (dvd-player) works perfectly with the beo 5. only the power putton makes a little trouble. although tv and dvd-player are turning off, the screen-navigation of the beo5 doesn&amp;#39;t go back to my &amp;quot;home screen&amp;quot; and further shows the dvd device on the screen. usually, when you turn off your tv, for example, the beo5 automatically navigate you&lt;br /&gt;back to your &amp;quot;home&amp;quot; zone. unfortunatly i can&amp;#39;t configure my navigation, because it&amp;#39;s greyscaled in my configuration tool (4.11). testing the button virtually in the tool just shows a black screen.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
