As others have stated you cannot use the Beo5/Beo6 Configuration Tool on a 64 bit machine.

The Beo6 uses different firmware loaded into it and ONLY version 4.11 comes with this firmware Version 1.0

With the Beo6 on to the base and the USB cable connected to your PC, in the download section of the Configuration Tool, if the "Download" button is NOT greyed out, then your problem is NOT the USB driver.

Assuming the "Download" button is NOT greyed out, then the most likely cause of the "Loading Configuration Failed" error will be problem in your configuration.xml file.

To prove the point, save your "Configuration.XML" and/or create a new configuration with a dummy serial number with something very basic in the configuration and download again. If it works, then you know the problem is with your configuration file.

Re: Loading configuration failed - Please charge the Beo6

Correct 3.87 will not work with Beo6, you need 4.11

4.11 is 32 bit only.

You may need to load/install the usb drivers manuelly:

C:\Bang & Olufsen\Beo5 Configuration Tool\Beo5Driver\Beo5Usb.inf

Just parchased a Beo 6 but I can't get it to work. I work with a 64Bit Windows 7. I have tried the new software under XP mode but I can't download it on the the Beo 6.

It can't be the programming because when I just add a zone with one BV it still won't download on to the Beo 6

I have checked the beo 6 is fully charged.

Loading configuration failed - Please charge the Beo6 for 15 minutes, restart the Configuration Tool and try again !

Anyone?

Thanks, Chucky
