I've created an XML file for my Pioneer C509A plasma for my Beo5, which might work with your TV. Let me know if you'd like try it out.

I used a Lintronic box to capture the IR commands and then the Lintronic software to generate the XML file. I also had a little assistance from Keith to sort out some issues with respect to carrier frequency definition in the XML file and Beo5 firmware compatibility.

A Very Warm welcome to you from all of us at Beoworld..

Controlling 3rd party products with the Beo5 requires an XML file to be built for the product, if one does not already exist.

You may wish to start by reviewing the Beo5 Resource web Pages HERE

If an XML file does not already exist for the 3rd party product, you are looking to control, then there are several options open to you as defined below:-

You can capture the IR (Infrared) command timings from the original remote and use the Beoworld 3rd Party XML Generator to convert them into an XML file (XML Generator available to Silver & Gold Members to download)
You may be able to get the remote control codes from the product manufacturers web site particularly if they use RC5 or NEC protocols, however most are not willing to supply the information.
Find a set of HEX Pronto Codes which can be converted. The best place to look is at remote central HERE
You can ask me to capture and create the XML file for you from your original remote for which I charge a small fee for my time.

Let me comment about your list of 3rd party products you wish to control. The only one which will be a problem is the "RF Controlled Motorscreen" because the Beo5 is a IR remote ONLY. However, you could either buy or build an IR to RF converter, but this would require some considerable knowledge both in terms of establishing the RF frequency used and the associated protocol is any is used. Unlike IR remotes, there is almost no compatiability with RF remotes at present.

With regards to the other products, I can supply an XML file for:-

Xbox 360
Non HD version of Canal Digital
TViX

I just recently purchased my first B&O Setup.

I now have a setup of a Beosound 9000 with Beolab 8000 and a iPad connected to the AUX input. Controlling this I'm using a Beo 5 remote. It works excellent using the Beosound 9000 and the setup was really easy using the B&O software.

I really like the feel and response of the Beo 5 remote. I'm used to a Logitech Harmony 1000 that I use to the rest of my setup.

I've read up a bit on the Beo 5. I must say that I don't exactly get all of the things I'm reading at the moment but I'm sure I'll get there.

So, the thing I want to do is getting my Beo 5 to play nicely with my other devices.

Receiver: Onkyo 507

Digital TV BOX: Canal Digital HD-Box (without HDD, swedish version)

Gamestation: XBOX 360

Mediaplayer: TViX 5100

Projection Screen: Euroscreen Sesame (RF controlled motorscreen)

All help would be greatly appreciated.
