As the protocol allows for 256 device codes, its often the case that a different code is assigned to different products of the same manufacturer, hence why the DV646 XML file did not work.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Your options are:-&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Capture the codes from your existing remote and either make an XML file with the &lt;span style="color:#0000ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Beoworld XML Generator&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; yourself or get it made for you.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Find on the web Philips Pronto HEX file (not ccf files) for the product which can then be converted to an XML file. The best place to start looking for Pronto HEX codes is &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/codes/"&gt;HERE&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Contact Pioneer support who are usually most helpful in providing a code sheet for their products. For Pioneer you just need teh HEX device code and the code for each command&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I am after the codes to control a Pioneer DVR-550 (DVD player/recorder). I have tried the Pioneer Dv646 codes in BeoWise downloads section but they dont work...
