According to the latest version of the Samsung DCB-B270R/Z then EPG button is like you see below... (maybe it is because its an old version in your IC)

To activate one of the overlay functions you need to make a macro like this:

0:000:TV:PLAY
Delay 450ms
0:000:TV:CIFFER_2

BEO4 ORIGINAL

GO Select

GO (long) Guide

EXIT Return

UP Up

DOWN Down

LEFT Left

RIGHT Right

RED RED

GREEN GREEN

YELLOW YELLOW

BLUE BLUE

MENU/GO

1 MENU

2 GUIDE

3 PG +

4 PG -

5 TEXT

6 AUDIO

7 ALT

8 TV/RADIO

GO

Hi all,

I am currently trying to get some MACROS working on my BEO5 but it doesn't seem to work.

My setup is like this : I have a BEOVISION 3 with STB module and attached a SAMSUNG B270R to it. All works well, but since I own a BEO5 and config software, I was thinking to give some buttons of the original remote to my BEO5.

One of them for example the the EPG button. I can shortcut with the BEO5 by pressing : GO -> 9 which will show me the EPG page of the SAMSUNG. But I want this under one button.

I am using the CONFIG TOOL ver 3.57 and thisone comes with a PUC source for the samsung. However, the special buttons like Program Guide do NOT work properly.

I read the writeup by Keith on http://195.173.140.100/Beoworld/Beo5WebSite/FAQ.htm that mentioned:

"The Beo5 Configuration Tool in-correctly sets up DVB-T icons and their associated "IR" codes. All DVB-T command IR strings must start with TV:EXIT followed by TV:CNTL_WIND followed by 450 milli second delay followed by the command such as TV:CIFFER_1 for "Channel List" If you do not add the delay before the command then the TV will switch channel numbers instead."

I put the following string in it:

0:000:TV:EXIT

0:000:TV:CNTL_WIND

Delay: 450ms

0:000:TV:CIFFER_9

This doesn't work and doesn't appear to do anything at all. Where did I fail?
