If you ask him to export the configuration, this file will include custom logos, if he have used some of those. The exported file is also much more easy to import into the tool.

Marc,

There is not really a lot to be careful about provided you make regular backups of your "Configuration.xml" file located in the "Clients" directory at:-

C:\Bang & Olufsen\Beo5 Configuration Tool\Clients\22??????

where 22?????? is the serial number of your Beo5

As your dealer is setting your Beo5 up for you, make sure he provides you with your copy of the "Configuration.xml" otherwise you will have to re-create your configuration from scratch.

I always keep a backup of each version of configuration I make in case I make an error, I just copy the backup copy of the "Configuration.xml" file back into the client area and it is back to the previous state.

I have just bought a Beo 5 which is currently being programmed by the dealer.

As I want to make slight changes to the programming I also downloaded the Beo 5 Config Tool.

Now my question: Is there anything one has to be careful about when using the Config Tool? Obviously, I do not want to mess up the whole device (Beo 5).
