Correct. And this way you are able to control your stb from linkrooms and with Beo4.

You will need the IR cable, even if you have configured your Beo5 via config. tool. I guess you hace added the Humax xml included in the config tool. This is a not third party xml, it's a B&O xml to use with the PUC.

I have configured the Beo5 via config tool, I have set the BV8 to STB(DTV) on AV1 and have specified the model. Now all I need to do is plug in the IR cable and attach it to the front of the STB's IR receiver.

Correct?

Yes. I just reread your post. You configured the Beo5 via config. tool. I thought it was the Beovision menu you configured.

Sounds as if you did NOT install the IR cable to your stb and assigned it to AV2 ...(?)

Hi there,

I am new to this Forum and already have a question

Somehow I can't get my Humax PVR9150T to work with my Beo5! I just don't know what I'm doing wrong...? In the Beo5 config tool, I add the Humax PVR9200T to my configuration (there is no code specifically for the 9150 but i have been told they work the same way), I get all the correct buttons under the DTV menu - easy - but nothing happens!

I should say that it is connected to my BV8 via a scart cable to AV2 (even though I have tried connecting to AV1, too).

Could someone please send me a step-by-step instructions (for dummies!) how I can get this to work? Is there anything else I need to do apart from programming the Beo5 - cables, settings on the BV8 or STB, etc.?

Sorry if the question is really stupid, so far everything I have programmed works fine but somehow this one's giving me sleepless nights as I just can't figure out why it won't work!
