Hi,

I have the BeoSystem3 so I guess I should control it using this.

But I don't have the HomeChoice PVR which you have mentioned.

I guess in order to use this, I'd have to obtain an update? Is there anyway of finding out the level of s/ware the BS3 has?

Thanks for your help

Just ask your dealer to add the Homechoice PVR to your STB list, or you could run all your STB's against the HIP program, to see if any off yor STB's will be recognised by HIP. If so you dont need your dealer, i just uséd the homechoice because it was in my tv and it worked

I have written a small how-to here

http://www.rungwald.dk/Beo4-5_MCE_Control/

I myself control MCE via the MCE original IR reciver and the STB-Controller of my Beosystem 3, and have just add'ed pages and buttons to the Beo5 that sends the codes i have mapped.

That is, i am using this http://www.rungwald.dk/Beo4-5_MCE_Control/stb.html

Please tell me more about your setup before i can guide you in what you should do.
