I thought as much - its just frustrating me that my local dealer will not give me a definitive answer on whether it can control a V box!! In this climate i thought they would be biting my hand off for business not ignoring emails!! Ridiculous!

If you have an original remote, its no problem... just capture all the original codes with a PDA or something similar and create a .xml yourself.

You can almost control anything that is IR operated with the Beo5.

Hi all - in my quest to buy a Beo5 I have been given numerous answers on its compatibility with my B&O. I have an Avant with the STB-C fitted but not yet upgraded to control a box from my Beo4 (apparently I need an IR eye to achieve this which involves an engineer coming out and installing something into my Avant). My local dealer has told me that no codes have yet been written for the V box (not the HD version but about 9 months old) so i'm still waiting on definitive answers - surely the codes for the popular V box must be written? Been waiting for 8 months for an answer from my dealers - think i'll be requesting my store credit to be refunded soon!!
