Thanks, indeed was being far to delicate with it. It fox'ed me as icon lit up which sort of makes you think you have pressed it hard enough.

maybe i can help:

i had the same problem. i pressed a zone and nothing happens after sending the configuration file to my beo5.

my problem was that i used the remote as my Apple iPhone. You have to press the buttons on the beo5 screen harder than the buttons on the iPhone until you hear a "click" from the remote. maybe that could solve your problem...

As you have only justed purchased your Beo5 it may have the latest firmware loaded in it, so the first step is to determine which version of firmware you have loaded in your Beo5. To do this, on the Beo5 press hand HOLD the RED DOT button and press the centre button which will take you into the SETUP menu, now press INFO and read the "Software Version"

If the SOFTWARE VERSION reads 1.40a then you will need to use the Beo5 Configuration Tool version 2.2

If t reads 1.34a then it should work with your version 1.30 configuration tool and in this case we will need to research teh problem further.

I have recently purchased a Beo5 remote control and am trying to set it up initially with 2 zones (Zone 1 = lounge for a beosound 9000, and zone 2 = Bedroom with a Beosound 1). This looks ok in the Beo5 config tool 1.30 but when I export it to the beo5 and then try and use it, if I select any zones from initial screen nothing happens. Any ideas why.??
