Improvements

New B&O products added:

• DVB-HD.

• BeoVision 7 no DVD.

• Preparation for BeoSound 5.

Engine improvements, less or not visible to the user:

• Major changes in the internal architecture of the tool software.

• Serializer efficiency is improved in terms of binary size, leaving more space for e.g. logos.

• Error corrections on both tool and firmware improving support for 3-party IR.

Errors corrections:

2 A-rated errors, 23 B-rated errors, 20 C-rated errors, and 16 D-rated or not classified errors. Totally 61 errors.

Emphasised corrections:

080905 Not able to change speaker mode in N.MUSIC/N.RADIO.

085485 "Text" button missing within Text menu on DTV and VMEM source.

085763 AV-sources not available in link room.

085399 MENU not sent with link bit on bl3500 in option 4.

084134 If you change the name of the speaker modes they no longer work.

076113 Serialization error when using BC 2-MKII with BeoCenter 6 in the same zone.

082532 Error deleting delays in macro.

085293 No DVB-T for BeoVision 8.

081020 Imported configuration is not stored correctly.

082540 V.MEM separated into V and MEM.

076541 Serialization failed when a channel number is 0 or bigger than 65535

078833 Serialization error when moving /TV/ button.

I noticed new firmware doesn't send the commands of third party xml files. I hope it's my fault, but it doesn't look well.

Apparantly there is an issue with the FW 1.40 and the 3rd party XML files, we are looking into it right now.

In the meantime, people who upgrade to tool 2.20 and fw 1.40, will NOT be able to use the XML files from the 3 party tool, and you cannot go back, once you have FW 1.40.

FW 1.40 needs config tool 2.20, and cannot be serialized with 1.30.

So if you rely on the 3rd party tool, then don't upgrade just yet.

Perhaps it solves some problems (like mine) where the Beo5 refuses to get the configuration ...:-(

There is a new SW version 2.20 of the Config Tool.

I got my new Beo5 today, firmware is 1.40a which refuses to download Configuration Files created with Config Tool v1.30.

Anybody knows a solution to this problem?
