The problem is with the language and regional settings of the Windows. My windows XP is english but keyboard and regional settings are set to Turkish. With these settings Beo5CT does not start normally. I changed them to english and US then everything is OK. Now I have the username password window (it was not available before) and I can update the firmware and the configuration...

So the FAQ on the site can be updated: The regional and keyboard settings should be english or at least not Turkish :)

Thanks for your help :))

Re: Beo 5 Configuration Tool Problem

You need to update the software in the Beo5 by downloading the firmware. You need to be on line connected to the B&O server at the time you do this. When you then download the configuration to the Beo5, it should work. You will probably lose the present configuration.

Re: Beo 5 Configuration Tool Problem

Do You know what the problem is? Unfortunately fixing it is not quite so simple. The firmware needs to be dowmloaded from the dealer network and is not a simple transferable file. Your dealer needs to do this for you. Once done, you can use your software when not connected to the dealer site.

Re: Beo 5 Configuration Tool Problem

it's 1.0a... My computer has no problem seeing Beo5 on USB. There is no problem on Device Manager etc but the problem is when I start the configuration tool there is a big red X on the left lower side of the window and I cannot do anything with the program.

When I click "About" there are two lines "Beo5ConfigTool Version" and "Serializer Version" and nothing else. No Version numbers etc.

I tried with 5 different computers. Compaq, Vaio, OEM and also with Vista and XP all the same..

What is my problem? This is a kind of emergency :)
