It is not on Beoworld..

For changing 110V versions to 220-240V there is a good picture on the European model with the correct connections to the transformer here: http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/7380/55097.aspx#55097

Re: AV7000 service docs / help on mains transformer

To me it's not the same.

Now I 'm trying to puzzle through the scheme myself and figure the voltages. (it seems something like 12 / 24 / 15 / 30 or so... )

Now only the issue with the NTSC connections.

Re: AV7000 service docs / help on mains transformer

I don't have any docs on the AV7000 but maybe the transformer is the same as in the Beomaster 7000, have you checked ?

Martin

Re: AV7000 service docs / help on mains transformer

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your quick reply!

It's the US model. (120V). As the wires on the mains transformer are all well cut I am not sure if I have the correct output voltages when I resolder them and connect it to the mains (120V or 240V). It seems that its one transformer block, but for 120V both sides are parallel. I would like to put them in series to be able to cope with 230V (Which normally would result in 2 "blocks" of 115V). Still the question what the output voltages shall be. (input and output wires are well cut, it's a transformer without wires).

For the sound input... that will be the next thing to look into. I do have some ancient but small NTSC-PAL-NTSC conversion box, which might be built in. Could be other options though?

But any way, I would just like get this thing to work on 230V and be able to send the sound to my speakers. Dolby Surround is a second thing.

Re: AV7000 service docs / help on mains transformer

Unfortunately we don't have that manual as the AV7000 was really a US only model with a very few exceptions. Is yours a US one or have you managed to get the EU model. The mains transformer has gone. (wires cut by the previous owner, don't ask me why...). Therefor I am not able to measure the output voltages from the transformer. Does anybody have an overview of the output voltages on the transformer.

Does anyone have the service manual?

Best regards,

Guido
