Wima MKS2 Capacitors

Hi all,

In an effort to try to lower the cost of our restorations, I have opened an account with Wima here in Israel.

I have found out that it is possible to purchase these excellent capacitors at a very reasonable price, examples following.

As you can see, the prices are way, way below those offered by Conrad.de, or Digikey.com.

I am passing these prices onto the group as a favour, in the interests of keeping up our high standards, and not making do with garbage components, just because of the price.

All of course have 5mm pitch, which is a perfect fit for all B&O circuit boards.

These are all current 2008 production, and minimum order is 20 pieces of each.

Regular Airmail Postage to Europe is a flat Eu5.00 and to the USA Eu8.00, for up to 150 pieces.

Add 5% of the total value for Paypal commissions

Also, the big wholesalers do not regularly offer these capacitors with tight 5% or 10% tolerance levels, but usually the less-exact 20% tolerance type.

MKS2-1/63/5 1.0uF 63V, 5% Eu0.31 US$0.47 (Due to exchange fluctuations, the Eu price takes precedent over the US$ price)

MKS2-2.2/63/10 2.2uF 63V, 10% Eu0.54 US$0.81

MKS2-4.7/50/10 4.7uF 50V, 10% Eu1.08 US$1.62

I will be happy to expand the range of pieces offered, if there is sufficient demand, but these are the most popular replacements for B&O equipment.
