&lt;p&gt;To get a Aluminu angle look good, you will have to get it level to the surface, that means, machine the surface down where you want to place it, if you dont have the tools for it, imposible, if you have them, difficault. One mis and you will have to do the whole front/edge.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Best and easiest is filler, sand, mask of, spray paint, sand very fine, spray paint, and one time more if wanted.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Instead of filler, you can mix wood glue with 50 % wood dust (fine saw dust) it will give a harder edge.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The key to the finish is sanding, sanding, sanding, finer, finer, finer&lt;/p&gt;
