I do use Duracell but I seldom change them. Mostly I'm only using 1 type 2035 and it does get used these days quite often for my white edition Beosystem 6000. Recently I discovered that the functions for a Beocord works great like supposed with a Beocord 5500 added to the older BM600o thanks to the datalink.

The batteries in my MCP 5500 has the worst lifespan at two years, and I use them at least 3 times a week!

Re: Peculiar discovery!

Hi Søren,

Well I don't know about that... My own Beomaster Terminal seems to eat those 9V (alkaline) batteries very quickly! I'd say a new one every three months or so.

Peculiar discovery!

Hello, just wanted to share something with you

Today I finally found a 9v battery to replace the used one in my Beomaster (6000) Terminal as the operating range had become too small. When I took away the battery cover, I discovered that the old battery was a "Philips - Made in Denmark" battery. Must be very old then. I then took it out and read the expirery date: 03-1989! This battery must be the original battery from 1985 the Beomaster was sold with, and has worked for a solid 26 years!

I recall when buying the 6000 that the owner stated that the Beomaster+terminal were in "like-new" condition, must be used very little then!
