I&#39;m using a 9v, 1.5A power supply and a 6-conductor RJ11 cable.</p> <p>I&#39;ve stripped the cables and found that there was continuity between the yellow and blue wires. I also touched the wires on various colours to find out which conductor was for the power supply. However, it seems that all I get is a bunch of popping noises from the speaker but no power trying every possible combination of conductors and positive/negative. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the unit, or was it dead from the start?</p> <p>B&amp;O are trying to charge $100 for the power supply and I think that&#39;s excessive, especially if the answering machine is broken.&nbsp;</p> <p>Thanks!</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
