After replacing the CD laser upgrade kit Part No.: 8420001 my BeoSound 9000 works fine and without any problems.

Did you order the correct upgrade kit from your B&O dealer or did you just order a replacement mech on the internet??

Thanks Graham, I have ordered the CD mechanism. It is a VAM1205 Philips
We will see how my BeoSound 9000 to operate after an exchange of the CD mechanism.

I recommend that you change the cd mechanism. Talk with your dealer as there are various kits depending on the serial number of your 9000.

You will end up with the equivalent of a series III 9000 as far as the cd is concerned.
