&lt;p&gt;Sounds like the actual circuit board (or the contact foil) need 
cleaning. Could be corrosion from a leaked battery or finger grease 
oozed through the rubber mat &lt;img src="http://forum.beoworld.org/emoticons/36.gif" alt="Ick!" /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

All of a sudden the volume will just go up on ity&amp;#39;s own. It&amp;#39;s not when I have used it and the button is sticking. It just happens. All I can do to stop it is remove the batteries. Sometimes it can take 5 mins for it to happen. other times it can be hours. It has had a new rubber keypad fitted, but I can&amp;#39;t see this been the problem. When it&amp;#39;s not turning itself up, the volume buttons work perfectly. any ideas appreciated.&lt;/p&gt;
