We do the same thing, but use vodka and a regular tea spoon for calibration

I know what it is.

In Denmark it is very normal, on cold days, to put some danish Aquavit in your coffie, this small item is used to get the right mixture.

Put the thing in the buttom of your cup, ad coffie until you can't see it anymore, ad Aquavit until you can see it again.

I'm wondering if its off the tuning mechanism, a small magnet to create artificial drag on the tuning wheel. I have seen little magnets used to act as tuning wheel tacho actuators, but I have not opened my BM6000 yet.

The only way to resolve this is to throw it out! Then very soon after you will not only find what its for but that its irreplaceable !!!

I tried to throw it out but I just can't bring myself to do it for that exact reason!!!!!

This part is an optional extra to allow the BM6000 to be used as a fridge magnet..........

I've decided that it appeared out of thin air and doesn't belong anywhere. Its sole purpose is to drive me absolutely insane so I have thrown it in a drawer to be forgotten for the moment!!

Moved my BM6000 quad and this fell out! (See pic) Well to be honest it seems like it comes from it, not 100% sure. Would anyone know? Its a small round magnetic type of thing. (Great description I know!lol!) Everything works fine. If anyone has any clues I'd greatly appreciate otherwise I'll be pretrified to throw it away and it will go with all the other things I tend to find around the house and have no idea where they come from!!
