&lt;p&gt;I would like to know whether anyone here could indicate a source for Beocord 8000, Beocord 9000 new old stock motors. They were very high quality Matsushita ones.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The replacement ones are not servo (tacho) controlled and they are not double-shielded like the old ones. All this affects performance of course, and noise. The single capstan arrangement was an advantage according to B&amp;amp;O notes, but only with those motors!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For instance, you couldn&amp;#39;t dectect any speed differences when winding or rewinding with the old motor. The new ones complain under the strain...&lt;/p&gt;
