Thanks Die Bogener, I had hoped for a plug and play install. But the information richtoy gave made me doubt. In the end personally I don't think it's worth the 70€ for just station names or naming CD's. I can certainly live without.

I recently transferrd a RDS board between a BC2500 and an Overture. It was very straightforward. The existing display now displays RDS information rather than generic information. However, I think you may be disappointed because I don't think that all of the RDS options you mention are available. All I have seen is the station name. I have an RDS radio in the car and it is far more informative. I have looked in the user guide for the Overture and it too only mentions the station name.

You will need to remove the back of the Beocenter and the PSU board. The RDS board fits underneath on the tuner board.

It's just Plug&Play, pretty easy to install on the radio board.

After discussing my wishes/ needs/ budget etc at the Dutch section of the BW-forum I've purchased a Beosound 2300 after spotting a great deal including BL2500, a wall bracket and guarantee. It is the later version with vertical laser but I think it's fitted with a small clamp. (?)

It didn't even arrive yet... with luck tomorrow, more likely at the beginning of next week but...

While browsing I've found a new RDS kit for 70€ and am actually considering it. Is it reasonably priced you think?

Reasons why I'd like to "upgrade" to RDS are mainly the ability displaying;

Clock and Time (CT), Radio Text (RT), Programme Type Identification (PTY), Programme Identification (PI), Programme Service Name (PS)

I don't have a two way remote and didn't plan on buying one. Beo4 is my friend.

Knowing that some of the early BC2300 had RDS and were recognizable by a little window at the left down corner of the Beocenter. What about a center without this window when fitting an RDS kit?

Any information or suggestions appreciated.
