Shift-radio-7 on my beolink 1000 made it work. As did Panel-setup-option-shift-7 on my beolink 7000 (pretty ugly). HOW did you figure this out? Where is it documented?

Re: Need help with getting a local source to play with an MCL2AV and BS 4500

If it is a non-b&o cd player you'll have to use shift + radio +6 (or 7?) instead, IIRC.

Need help with getting a local source to play with an MCL2AV and BS 4500

I have a BS 4500 in one room, connected an avant via a ML/MCL converter box in the same room. In the link room I have an MCL2AV connected to active speakers. From the link room, I can select any of the sources connected to the BS4500 by directly pressing the source on the remote, without pressing link, and I have independent volume control. I tried hooking up an Ipod to the CD jack on the MCL 2AV, but the link room still plays the main room CD player. I've fiddled with option 1 and option 2 on the BS 4500, and it still does the same thing. I have also done the "Press timer button, then the AV button on the Beolink 1000" to make sure the 2AV is in local mode. Any ideas?

Thanks!
